Patty Moore, MNT is the Nutritional Health Coach (NHC) at Natural Grocers’ Castle Rock store. She received her Bachelor of Science in International Business and Marketing from Oregon State University and her Master Nutrition Therapist degree from the Nutrition Therapy Institute of Denver in 2008. Patty has had an interest in nutrition for 30 years, and has a special interest in sports nutrition, thyroid health, and immune health. Nutrition education has always been one of the cornerstones of Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage’s® business philosophy. We believe that in order for people to achieve optimal health, the resources must be available for them to educate themselves to do so. To be educated is to be empowered; armed with the right information, consumers are able to make informed and educated decisions about their own health.

As part of our commitment to customer education, Natural Grocers has certified Nutritional Health Coaches (NHCs) on staff at each of our stores to offer free customer nutrition coaching sessions. Our NHCs provide professional, personalized hour-long sessions, offering themselves as a resource for nutrition and supplement information, while promoting a positive and preventative vision of healthcare. The services are free to the community and customers may return as many times as needed to reach their desired health goals.
