Pikes Peak Regional Hospital in Woodland Park is a small hospital with a big impact. Opened in 2007 in response to the needs of physicians and patients west of Colorado Springs, this 15-bed hospital draws patients from as far away as Denver and Fairplay. The hospital provides Level IV trauma services, surgical services, the latest imaging technology, lab services, specialty clinics, and a unique recovery and rehabilitation program that, among other things, allows patients to acclimate to higher altitudes.

The Emergency Department at Pikes Peak Regional Hospital is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and provides orthopedic and acute surgical services. Patients are immediately evaluated for critical injury or illness and then stabilized. If needed, patients can be transferred quickly to a hospital in Colorado Springs. Patients with pneumonia, noncritical injuries and illness and some pediatric patients can receive treatment without leaving Pikes Peak Regional Hospital.
